Vision and Values

OUR VISION

We envision Hope City Church to be a gospel-saturated community, bringing hope in a broken world through personal transformation and authentic relationships. As God centers our lives on the gospel of Jesus Christ, we believe Hope City can be a church body composed of real people living real life with real hope. We haven’t the slightest desire to be another country club or a gathering for superficial relationships. We are a community on mission and part of a gospel movement to manifest God’s Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven. Therefore, we don’t exist for ourselves; we exist for God’s Kingdom and God’s glory. We are a community called to worship, formed through relationships and sent on mission.

OUR MISSION

Hope City Church’s mission is to turn spiritually lost people into gospel saturated followers of Jesus living God’s mission for God’s Glory.

OUR VALUES

The Gospel

We are more wicked than we ever dared believe, but more loved and accepted in Christ than we ever dared hope — at the very same time. It all begins with the gospel. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God for salvation and the message entrusted to us for the renewal of the world.

Changed Lives

No one is too far-gone or far too good for the power of the gospel. The gospel changes people from the inside out. It fundamentally transforms hearts, reorienting mind, body and soul to their God created purpose.

Real Community

We grow best with the help of others where we can be real. God created us to be building blocks and part of something bigger than ourselves. We call that community. Only through authentic community can we understand and accomplish our purpose to renew creation to the glory of God.

Multiplication

The greatest demonstration of the grace of God in my life is the willingness to share it with another. This is the heart of what we do as followers of Jesus. Evangelism leads to discipleship and discipleship leads to evangelism. Intentional discipleship means that we are evangelistically living on mission to reach people who are far from God and leading them to become fully devoted followers of Jesus. Therefore, we deliberately and intentionally form relationships around teaching and being taught.
